Friday Confessions

1. I think I ate Samantha's body weight in Kit Kats yesterday...if not Sammy's definitely my niece Emily's.

2. I went to the gym to work them off and then came home and at a full size Three Musketeer's while I blogged about Disney World (thank you Koops for handing out full size candy bars this year).

3. Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 comes out this month and my excitement rivals a giddy teenager's. I actually teared up during a preview.

4. I daydream about being on The Voice even though I can't sing. Drake told me I can't buy a karaoke machine for myself so I am getting Juliana one for Christmas. She will love it and so will I. It's a win win...maybe not for the neighbors.

5. I lovingly refer to Trent as The Professional Question Asker. While most of the time I'm amused by his questions, there are times, like today for instance, that I want to squeeze his cute little face and tell him to be quiet. And another thing, there is a downside in having a four year old that reads. Especially when he is a professional question asker :)

6. I like Thanksgiving more than Christmas and I'm SO excited it's November.

I know it has been awhile since I've done confessions, but if you've got anything to get off your chest there's no judgement here. Do tell!

  1. Sisters, it's been awhile since my last confession:

    1. My name is Julie and I am a Trader Joe's Herb and Spice popcorn addict. I can eat the whole bag in one setting and I reluctantly share with David (who is not suppose to eat popcorn but feels he must have some of mine). I'm not bitter.

    2. I am going to Phoenix this weekend with David and will be staying at his mother's place (size 0-2 Joan). Even though I have lost weight and I feel good,I know I will leave there feeling not so good.

    3. We(Jess, Lisa, and I) went to the Lofty Bean in Encinitas a couple of weeks ago. I dream about having another mocha from there. YUM! I have cut way back on having coffee and it's a good thing this place is in Encinitas.

    4. I have begun my Christmas shopping and I have bought the grandkids things that need to be put together. This is where Papa comes in. It's a good thing they have to be put together otherwise I would probably give them to the kids now. I can't wait.:)

    5. Thanksgiving is becoming a favorite of mine. We go to a restuarant/bar on the river that provides, turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, plates, napkins and eating utensils. I prepare one dish to share in a disposable pan so does about 100 other people. Every yummy dish you can image and NO CLEAN UP!!

Well that's enough for now..love you girls for no judgement!!

    Blessings and Happy Fall,
    julie

  2. OK I feel like there's probably plenty that I need to confess, but for the time being this will have to do because its the best I can do (see Point #2):

    1. Breaking Dawn Part 2 ... in 2 weeks.

    2. The come-down from last week's vacation has been hard. Really hard. Unusually hard. Either (a) I'm getting older, (b) this was a REALLY awesome vacation, or (c) I'm getting older. (how about all of the above!) The time change has been so difficult (Hawaii is 3 hours earlier) on my system. I am almost willing to say maybe its easier to just not go on vacation. We are all out of our routines, stumbling around in the morning...Its not pretty...

    3. We didn't even carve any pumpkins for Halloween. I was a Halloween-fail this year. I told Michael we'd do a better job in 2013.

    4. Breaking Dawn Part 2 ... 14 days....

    5. I am excited about November also. So many things to look forward to. One of which being the time-change on Sunday. I know so many people lament the darkness coming early etc. but for this early-bird, I relish the thought of an extra hour of sleep (again see Point #2)! I will take what I can get.

    6. Oh and did I mention that I'm also excited about a little movie coming out in exactly 2 weeks from today. The conclusion of a beloved, amazing, awesome 5-movie love story between a regular girl and a Vampire.

If my bleary brain can come up with more confessions, I will report back.

    Have a good day! :-)

  3. Whoa - see I learn so much from this Blog!

This weekend I will be going to TJ's to check out this popcorn... and also hopefully hitting up the Lofty Bean! Yay two more things to look forward to, in addition to the time change.

  4. Confessions... confessions... Confessions??? I feel like most of what I do lately requires a confession. Where to begin?

    1. I admit, I am responsible for brainwashing my mother and sister into joining the Twi-hards. I don't feel bad about it at all.

    2. As we all know, I'm pregnant, and having a boy... and frankly, I eat as if I were a teenage boy. I feel like all my beliefs about nutrition and balance in life are completely out the window. I'm living in indulgence when it comes to food. I am already on my way to completely embracing the "big boned" pregnancy look. Or maybe I am already there given the comments the teeny little Philippino nurses have to tell me on a daily basis when I walk on the unit at 7pm. - So don't worry Julie, you may not be smaller than your mother in law (thank goodness!) ... but neither am I ;)

    3. I am getting somewhat better at cleaning my apartment more regularly these days. While exhaustion still aches in my bones from not sleeping my motivation has improved... I'm almost back to a regular schedule. I have to admit though, knowing we're moving soon really beats down what little motivation I have. Why should I bother putting things away when I'm just going to be packing them up soon? Why should I try to clean the fridge or clean the crumbs out of the silverware drawer when I'm just going to have to do it again when we're leaving? Why should I clean the tub again? Why should I move the bed and vacuum up all the down feathers that are under there? Ya, I'm not going to until we leave 821 nordahl rd apartment G. At least it generally looks clean on the surface.

    4. Beth - I did nothing halloweenish either. I worked and listened to all the "Code Trauma, Code Trauma, Code Trauma" announcements sound throughout the hospital all night long. The only thing that felt halloween was the ridiculous amount of candy in the charting room.

    5. As you all know, I got a new dining room table, and the matching buffet. Did I need us to spend money on these things? No. Did I just selfishly want them? yes. Again, more indulgence. And frankly, I think the other table looks much better in your house Lisa :)

I can't really think of much else right now. But I'll let you know if I do. Its hard to recount all the many many guilty things I have to confess. xoxo :)

  5. Ohhhhh ok reading #3 above caused me to remember a confession that I feel I must now share:

We have a housecleaner; she works with our general state of dust-bunnies and disarray on a bi-monthly basis (bless her heart). Last month she said that if we leave her some additional $, she will clean out (and scrub down!) our fridge. OK that's awkward. But here's the confession. Best $10.00 that i EVER spent. That fridge is spotless.

  7. This is my first confession on here, but I have felt a little guilty since Halloween - when you guys weren't looking, I snuck extra candy bars in your kid's bags :).
