The Twinkle

Looking back I would say that I maybe had a twinkle in my eye to start my own blog when some of my friends joined the blogging community. While I wasn't ready to give "birth" to my own, I began to have ongoing posts in my head. Rehashing my day mentally and thinking about how I would put it into words. Then one day I thought why not give this virtual documentation a try.

Unfortunately for you, the reader, I'm not particularly gifted in any of the major areas people often blog about. Photography, fashion, interior design, art... I'm interested in being interested in these things, if that makes sense? However, my time is consumed by my three pint sized blessings and one five gallon jug blessing (my 6'6" husband). I won't wow your socks off with a creative way to redecorate a bedroom or put together the perfect fall ensemble complete with accessories. My goal in all of this is simply to remember.

My children are growing too fast. The once pudgy feet and legs of my oldest daughter are now adorned with tights and tap shoes. My son still cups my face in his hands and tells me he loves me, will he always do that? My sweet baby girl with her milky breath pulls up on my legs while I'm making dinner. Remember. I want to remember. There will be a time when I miss saying "stop touching that," "leave her alone," "get out of there". Today is not that day, but it will come and I want to remember.

  1. I like it. Write down(blog) as much as you can because it flies by and your memory can only hang on to so much. Look forward to remembering with you.

  2. Love the idea, and I love reading what you have to say. Who needs pretty things, when we have beautiful you and those adorable children?
