Thanksgiving Post: Better Late Than Never (an official Kellas motto)

First, I watched my beautiful freckle nosed Pilgrim sing with pride about our blessed country.

Then I heard my little towheaded Pilgrim declare his thankfulness to God.

A couple days later I took all three of our kiddos to the zoo while Daddy was hard at work for us.

My heart was ready for Thanksgiving. I have much to be thankful for indeed.

Our annual post-Thanksgiving tea didn't disappoint either...especially since we were all still flying high from a certain engagement that happened the night before.

Yay!!!!

We are now in the thick of the Christmas season. Tree decorated, lights up and we are huddled under our Christmas quilt every night. Shopping is almost done and a cookie exchange is on the horizon, but the resounding message the kids and I keep talking about is this; we already have the gift. Christ was already born and He already conquered sin for us. We have the ability to love others without limits and call on His Holy Spirit when we are weak or tempted. Praise be to God that He sent His Son. Let's truly celebrate that!!!

Us: Ten Years

I love us together. I really do.

I love that we both think the other one is crazy.

I love that we are content to see the Statue of Liberty from afar and then move on.

I love that we still hold hands.

A lot.

I love that he makes things special for me.

I love that he always holds me close.

I love that he lets me kiss his cheeks...whenever I want.

I could go on, but mostly I just love us. I love where the Lord has brought us ten years in.

We are quirky, we have our faults, we have our ups and we have our downs, but above all we have each other.

Together, we choose to work hard, laugh hard and love hard to maintain our identity as husband and wife.

Cheers to my Honey and ten years! Love you to the moon, always and forever.

Playing Hooky

Tuesday we surprised Trent by taking just him to Disney's California Adventure for his fifth birthday. The initial surprise didn't go over well. He is a routine kid and as soon as we started going north on the 5 he started questioning, then he started crying because he wasn't going to school, then he began with all the questions about Disney, finally the excitement started building and we eventually came to a place where he was okay with missing school. I would say five minutes in the park and he was more than okay.

We had a great day and what a treat to spend an entire day with my two favorite guys.

{this boy LOVES maps}

{most handsome lunch dates}

I'm holding this memory close in my heart because I know I will blink and he will be fifteen and ice cream, Lightening McQueen and time with Mommy and Daddy won't hold the same thrill.

Trent William, I love you so.
